Telangana Rains : KCR asks officials to be alert

Hyderabad, Aug 16 (Munsif News): Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed the State official machinery to be alert and vigilant in view of heavy rains and also in view of possibility of heavy rains all over the state in the coming couple of days.

The Chief Minister has reviewed the situation arising out of rains and effect of floods in Adilabad and other districts and instructed the Chief Secretary Dr. S.K. Joshi and Director Genera of Police Mahender Reddy to instruct the Special Officers who are already appointed to handle the situation and monitor the flood situation in the districts for which they are in-charge to take up necessary relief and rehablitation work in close coordination with local officers.

He Instructed the Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs to be available to the people in their respective districts and constituencies and monitor relief works whereever required in coordination with police and other officials.

The Chief Minister said that a senior officer in State Secretariat should review the situation round the clock and the efforts have to be made in such a way that there should be no inconvenience to people as there are possibilities that the rivers and streams at different place might over flow.
