Hyderabad: A division bench of the High Court of Telangana, comprising Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice N. Tukaranji has dismissed the petition seeking reservation in allotment of Double Bed Room Houses meant for the poor people.

The High Court has heard the Public Interest Litigation filed by U. Shiva Prasad on behalf of the Charity, seeking the order directing the government to allot the houses by giving reservation to BCs, Widows, single women, disabled, transgender and mentally handicapped.

This petition was dismissed on the ground that the orders issued by the government were to be allotted to all categories that are eligible; hence the Court will not interfere in it and dismissed the petition.
