Hyderabad, Oct. 31 : Students Islamic Organization of India of Telangana Zone (SIO) has released a “Students Manifesto” here today to stress the need of political parties to pay heed to students’ demands.
Addressing the media here today, SIO State president Laeeq Ahmed Khan and State Secretary Kaleem Ahmed Khan demanded that the State government allocate 20% of its Annual Budget and 10% of Central Budget for Education and one-class-one-Teacher in primary schools as per RTE Act of 2009 guidelines. To improve the access to higher education, the SIO leaders have demanded that the State government establish two new State-level universities one at Adilabad and another at Khammam district.
The Telangana State SIO also demanded that the student politics and elections be allowed on the campuses under the guidelines of Lyngdoh Commission. The SIO also demanded De-reservation of backlog posts immediately for Urdu medium government schools of plain and agency areas
