Hyderabad, Oct 20 (Munsif News): Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana, Dr. Rajath Kumar has given instructions to all the district collectors to handover the revised voter list to all the political parties on October 25.
Interacting with the collectors and the Superintendent of Police over video conference at GHMC office, the Chief Electoral Officer said that all the polling stations should be located in the pucca buildings not in dilapidated buildings, in all the polling stations, there should be all the facilities such as electricity, drinking water arrangements, toilets and sitting arrangements for the voters, he said if there is lack of such facilities in any buildings it should be changed immediately.
he also urged the collectors and SPs who has attended the video conference to take steps to increase the polling percentage, the Telangana is having 5 bordering states such as Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Odissa and Chattisgarh, steps has to be strengthen the check post at the bordering districts and see that no illegal activities such as transferring of money, liquor or other goods which are being used to influence voters in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the State of Telanana should be checked and no vehicle should be pass without checking it. He said in earstwhile Adilabad districts there are about 91 sensitive places, this has to be identified and all precautionary measures has to be taken. He said that doubts has been expressed on the functioning the EVM-VVPAT machines operations, this has to be cleared by convincing the people who express the doubts and the details of any default is found, it should be sent to the Central Election Commission.
