Hyderabad, Nov.10 : The TRS government will provide four percent reservations to Physically Challenged Persons in Telangana if the TRS was voted back to power, according to caretaker minister KT Rama Rao.
Addressing a meeting of the physically disabled he wooed them with all sops like building in each district. Right now the TRS regime is offering Rs 1500 pension to the physically disabled persons and will double the amount to Rs 3016 after the polls, he said. The caretaker minister also said that the TRS regime has taken up several welfare schemes and distributed Rs 8 crore worth appliances to the physically disabled.
“Our aim is to help the physically disabled to lead better lives and offering special books with Braille for the blind”, he said, adding that a modern park will be built in Siricilla town on the lines of one in Hyderabad. A new building for the physically disabled will be built at national level, IT Park at Shamshabad, he said. The TRS will retain power as the physically disabled people are ready to vote for the ruling party, he hoped. The government will provide all help to the physically disabled, he added. (NSS)
