Delhi/Hyderabad, July 17 (Munsif News): Minister for IT, Industries, Muncipal Administration and Urban Development K.Tarak Rama Rao who is on Delhi tour, has met the Union Minister for Handloom and Textiles, Smrithi Irani and discussed on the problems being faced by the handloom weavers in the State.
After the meeting, Tarak Rama Rao told to press persons said that he has explained in details about the problems being faced by the handloom weavers and also given the details about what the State government is doing for the welfare and development of Handloom weavers.
He has requested the Union Minister to sanction new 10 clusters, with this clusters the weavers from Khammam and Mahabubnagar will benefit most. For the upgradation of technology and skill development for which, he has requested the Union Minister to give grant of 50 per cent as subsidy, with this 8 thousand Weaving units will be upgraded.(Munsif News)
