Hyderabad, May 29 : Senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali shabbir today accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao of failing to implement old city development and neglecting Minorities’ welfare.
In a statement here today, Shabbir Ali accused the Chief Minister of only working to create vote bank rather than fulfilling his poll promises. “Poor Muslims wanted better living standards rather than free clothes during Ramadan festival. He also said when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not giving an appointment to KCRCM, how can he hope that the PM would concede his request to provide 12% reservation to Muslims against BJP Manifesto?, he asked.
Questioning about the fate of old city development, Shabbir said proposals submitted to the Centre under second phase of Metro Railway line connecting Shamshabad Airport with Madapur, the State government did not include Imbliban to Falknuma (5.5 km) as per original design in old city, he said, adding that purification of the Musi river was only in papers.
