Hyderabad: Telangana High Court today gave its nod for the recruitment of 58 teaching faculty in EFLU (English and Foreign Languages University) in Hyderabad.

Without going into the details of the reservations EFLU can take up recruitment, the court observed. The high court also asked the petitioners to move a single judge bench on the reservations for OBCs. On a petition, the court observed that the varsity can go ahead with the recruitment of the teaching faculty.

The Court of acting chief justice Ramchandra Rao and Vinod Kumar gave a verdict that IFLU can conduct interviews and announce results.

Stopping the appointments is a violation of the constitution and the IFLU can take up the recruitment process, the court opined.

Congress leader Shravan moved the BC Commission that injustice meted out to OBC candidates to get teaching jobs in IFLU. The National BC Commission stalled the process and IFLU moved the high court challenging it.

The Court now gave a fresh verdict in favour of the jobs. The High Court said that if necessary the petitioners can argue for OBC reservations with the single judge bench.
