Hyderabad, Nov 15 (Munsif News): The Chief Electoral Officer, Dr. Rajath Kumar has appealed the leaders of the political parties and the contesting candidates to restrain from using abusive language against the political opponents and also holding or attending the meeting on the basis of and religion and promising them the sops attracts violation of Election Code of conduct and also the attracts under Criminal Procedure Code (Cr.P.C.) and action will be initiated.
Speaking to press persons, here today, the Chief Electoral Officer has informed that notices have been issued on the complaints received by the political parties against their opponents who have violated election code of conduct by attending the meeting of caste, religion and announcing sops to them and also against the party which have issued the separate manifesto in the name of particular religion, he said as soon as the reply received, action will be taken basing on reply. (However, he has not named any name of the political party or to whom the notices were issued.
The Chief Electoral officer also said that he has not received any notice from the Election Commission of India on the complaint made by one senior Congress leader at Delhi that the CEO of Telangana is supporting only the ruling TRS party and not taking action against their complaint. he said that the Election Commission of India has removed one CEO that too in the North Eastern State, however, he has not received any such notice so far, as soon as it comes he will react.
The Chief Electoral Officer said that as on November 14, nominations filed by the candidates are 331, in which 64 from INC, 47 from BJP, 9 from TDP, 7 from BSP, 5 CPM, 1 CPI, 1 AIMIM, 2 NCP and others 117.
TOTAL RS. 82.2 CRORES CASH, LIQUOR AND GOODS SEZIED
The Chief Electoral Officer, said that till date Rs. 82.2 crores cash, liquor, gold and silver has been seized, out of which Cash is Rs. 69.86 crores, Liquor worth Rs. 6.66 crores, Gold Silver and other goods worth Rs. 5.02 crores were seized ..(Munsif News)
