Hyderabad, May 17 : The annual fish prasadam claimed to cure asthma and respiratory illnesses will be administered to asthma patients free of cost by Bathini brothers on Mrigasira Karthi Day at Exhibition Grounds in Nampally from 9.30 am on June 8 and 9.30am on June 9 this year.
Speaking to the media here today, Bathini Harinath Goud, along with his family members said fish prasadam is administered on the day of Mrigasira Karti, which marks the onset of monsoon according to Hindu calendar. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao directed all the departments concerned to provide all arrangements needed, he said..
Fisheries & Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav held a review meeting with all the concerned departments hand asked them to provide all amenities and required fingerlings. GHMC, Water Works, Fire, Electricity, Police and TSRTC are making all arrangements. The Fisheries department will be providing two lakh fish.
Apart from the State government departments, voluntary organizations like Badri Vishal Pannalal Pitti Trust, Agarwal Seva Dal will help administer fish prasadam every uear. They will provide free meals, snacks, water, butter milk to the patients, who come across the globe for fish prasadam and involve themselves in service, said Harinath Goud.
“On that day, we insert yellow herbal paste (prasadam) into the mouth of a live fingerling. The live fish is put into the throat of a patient. For vegetarian patients, the family will prepare separate prasadam with jaggery. However, vegetarians need to take the prasadam for a longer period, Harinath Goud said.
After taking the prasadam, separate prasadam in the form of pills will be given to the patients which should be taken on three occasions for 45 days on Arudra (June 23), Punarvasu (July 8) and Pushyami (July 23). Patients are supposed to follow a strict diet prescribed by the Bathini brothers, otherwise the fish prasadam will not give desired results, Harinath added. The patients, who want to get rid of asthma and respiratory ailments completely, have to take the fish Prsadam continuously for four years.
Harinath Goud claimed that in 1845, a told his great grandfather Veeranna Goud about fish prasadam, which is a sacred and powerful to cure Asthma and all the respiratory problems. Since then, our family members were distributing fish prasadam to the patients. Fish Prasadam cures Asthma completely if taken continuously for four years Goud said. After completion of administration of the medicine at the Exhibition Grounds, the remaining patients will be given fish prasadam at their residence.
