Ban order around Secretariat for two months from May 19

Hyderabad, May 17 : With a view to maintain public order, peace and tranquility in the area around AP and Telangana Secretariats, under the limits of Saifabad Police Station, City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, issued orders prohibiting holding of any public meeting; assembly of five or more persons; carrying of fire arms, banners, placards, lathis, spears, swords, sticks, brickbats and so on. He also banned shouting of slogans; making speeches, taking out processions and demonstrations; picketing or dharnas within the area.

The prohibitory order will be in force for two months from 6 am on May 19 to 6 am on July 18. Any person violating the order shall be liable for punishment under section 188 of the IPC and as per the provisions of Hyderabad City Police Act.
