Rs. 5 CRORES FOR WHITEWASH OF MOSQUES AND RS. 15 CRORES FOR GIFT PACKETS
Hyderabad, April 20 (Munsif News): All the shops and establishments, Hotels, restaurants etc. will remain opened for 24 hours in the entire month of Holy Ramzaan, announced Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Mohd Mahmood Ali and Labour and Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy.
Speaking to press persons, after holding the meeting with the officials of different concerned department, City MLAs on the arrangement for the forthcoming Ramzaan Festival, at Secretariat, today, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who is strong secularists in the country, and celebrate the Ramadan Festival with true devotion, he said Telangana is the only state in the country where the poor Muslims are given gift packets and Iftaar Parties in Mosque and it is only possible because of our secular Chief Minister KCR , he added.
He said, in this Ramzaan Month, the Chief Minister has made additional allocation of Rs. 5 crores for the whitewash and repair of Mosques in the state, whose is not having their own income, for the Gift Packets, budget of Rs. 15 crores has been allocated, this year it has been decided to give gift packs to 4 lakh poor Muslims in about 800 Mosques. For the other works such as drinking water supply, sanitation, power supply, repairs of roads etc. the concerned department will spend from their budget.
The Deputy Chief Minister said, that the officials from the GHMC, Police, Hyderabad Metro Water Works and Sewerage Board, TSTRANSCO, Roads and Buildings, Diary Development Corporation, Labour, Civil Supplies, Medical and Health. Minolrities Welfare department Advisor A.K. Khan, Secretary, M.Dana Kishore, Wakf Board Chairman, Mohd. Saleem, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin and City MLAs and MLCs were present.
He said, the Civil Supplies department will make arrangements for regular supply of Gas refills, additional sugar, the Medical and Health department will keep ambulance with staff at Makkah Masjid during the Ramzaan, Transco will maintain uninterrupted power supply and lightning arrangements at Mosques, Additional Milk Supply by Diary Development Corporation, sanitation works by GHMC, maintaining law and order and security at the time of Taravees and Namaaz at all mosques by the Police, HMWS & SB to supply free water through tankers were there is shortage of water in Mosques.
The Deputy Chief Minister has instructed the Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi to instruct the district collectors to make similar arrangements during Ramzaan month in their respective districts. (Munsif News)
