Gang held for selling IND vs AUS t20 match tickets in black

Hyderabad Oct 10 (Munsif News): The North Zone Task Force nabbed a seven-member gang at Gymkhana Grounds for allegedly selling Twenty20 Trophy match tickets in black for the match to be played between India and Australia at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on October 13.
Police said the gang was selling Rs.1,000 tickets for Rs. 2,500 to 3,000, depending on the buyer’s desperation. Officials seized 24 tickets, worth Rs. 24,810, from their possession.
The arrested gang was identified as Sai Naveen Kumar, 21, a BTech student from Old MIG Colony, BHEL; Narendra Yadav, 27, Gym coach; Mohammed Saddam, 21, from Kottur; Dev Kumar, 21, B.Com student from Hussainialam; Mohammed Riyaz, 30, a bouncer from Falaknuma; P.Praveen, 25, a student from Jadcherla and Mohammed Afroz, 24, from Kothapet.

According to police, following a tip-off, the Task Force reached the spot where the gang was selling tickets at Gymkhana Grounds and nabbed them. The gang along with the seized tickets were handed over to the Begumpet police for further action.
